One of my favorite ways to spend an evening is getting a group of friends together, coming up with a questionable team name, and seeing just how much random knowledge we all have. Whether you’re a history buff, know every song on the radio, or somehow remember facts from high school science class, trivia has a way of making everyone feel like an expert for at least one question.
One thing I love about Central Arkansas is that there are plenty of places to play. Challenge Entertainment hosts trivia and SINGO at restaurants and breweries all over the area, so there is probably one happening close to you.
If you’re looking for somewhere to start, Camp Taco is one of my favorites. It has a fun retro summer camp vibe, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to spend a couple of hours there.

If you’re up for a drive to Conway, Rogue Roundabout is another place I always enjoy. They have a great drink selection, and I’m a sucker for their music themed trivia nights. I usually know enough to stay in the game, but not enough to win.
Of course, trivia is only part of the reason to go. If you’re at Bear’s Den, order the pizza. If you’re at Fassler Hall, get the duck fat fries. You’ll thank me later.
If music is more your thing than traditional trivia, give SINGO a try at Flyway Brewing in the Breckenridge Shopping Center. Instead of answering questions, you’re listening for songs, and it’s a fun change of pace.

I also have a few places that are still on my list. Lost Forty Brewing is one of them, mostly because the Buffalo Fried Cauliflower is one of my favorite things to eat. Film Alley is another. Trivia followed by duckpin bowling or a movie sounds like a pretty solid evening to me.
So, here’s my recommendation. Grab a few friends, pick a place, and go see how much you know. You might not win first place, but you’ll probably laugh a lot, eat something good, and have a reason to leave your house for a couple of hours. I’d call that a successful night.
